Registration open for teachers’ Olympiad

In a bid to celebrate teaching profession, the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) will be conducting a Teaching Professionals Olympiad (TPO 2015). The event will take place on December 5.

Teachers from all parts of the country, regardless of their experience, are invited to participate in the Olympiad, and registrations have started.

The Olympiad will have a number of multiple-choice questions in three areas — subject knowledge; logical ability and communication; and classroom practices and competencies, along with situation responses. “The idea is for the teachers to be able to gauge their own expertise, and at the end of the Olympiad, we will give them all an individual report with their strengths and weaknesses,” Ramya Venkataraman, Founder and CEO of CENTA, said.
